Neuroimaging Special Interest Group

The FND Neuroimaging Special Interest Group co-chaired by Drs. Selma Aybek and David Perez, is a collaborative initiative to help catalyze and grow brain imaging research in functional neurological disorder and related brain-mind-body conditions. Our primary mission is to foster collaborations amongst the FND Society research community. To date, we have organized a virtual FND Neuroimaging Workgroup Meeting (2020) and published a “State of the Field” article in Neuroimage Clinical (doi: 10.1016/j.nicl.2021.102623). A current effort underway is to perform a mega-analysis of structural neuroimaging data using a large number of published data-sets in the field. Future tasks the Neuroimaging SIG aims to develop include:

  • Engage international colleagues in creating networks
  • Facilitate exchange of data
  • Support publications on existing data
  • Develop prospective collaborative projects

Time Commitment: Based on interest / availability; the Neuroimaging SIG generally organizes quarterly virtual meetings each year (4 hours).
