Statement on Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion
The FND Society is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion at the 4th International Conference on Functional Neurological Disorder. In order to promote diversity, a diverse speaker lineup has been chosen, including individuals from 11 countries and nearly 50% female faculty, ensuring that a wide range of perspectives and experiences are represented. Regarding equity, FNDS aims to identify and remove bias in reviewing conference research abstracts and presentations. The FNDS also strives to ensure that there is equal opportunity to attend the conference. Finally, this conference aims to make conference attendees feel included and valued. Thus, there are opportunities for junior faculty and trainees to participate in the conference by presenting posters and case presentations. Additionally, in order to foster inclusion and connectedness, there is scheduled time at the end of each session for attendees to ask questions and participate in the discussion.
